Général: The Amazing Usual

This late morning I opened my bag of four organic oranges, climbed out the kitchen window and up the little wall next to it and enjoyed the hot sun and the view over dry thorny nature, brush - mostly my dear ajonc and génet - and trees, light yellow fields. All under pale blue summer sky and a hot hot summer sun. How I enjoy buying organic fruits! And eating them! Norris about washing your hands after peeling an orange or a banana - feels heavenly! Here I can buy organic products from the supermarket at a price of usual products or very little more expensive, so I try to buy bio-labeled bread, fruits, cosmetics (all of my cosmetics is bio label!), breakfast cereal, cookies .. :D I also try to buy local, that being desserts and yoghurt and I eat lots of yoghurt - I like it and I had to take antibiotics not long ago. One other of my quirks is juice. Tropical fruits juices :D The supermarket where we usualy shop, Super U, has it's own line of tropical fruit juices and I have tried almost all of them: guayava, litchi and passion fruit. Must say that the latter is my fav! And one of the most amazing thing is that I do not have to worry about money. I have 325 euros per month. Too little? In Estonia the median wage is a little under 900 euros, prices are pretty much the same as in France and I was unemployed, before that a student supported by my not so wealthy family. I have had problems about money for years and years, always depending on someone. Now I have only myself :D Or actually not. I am surrounded by my fellow volunteers, students doing their research and other people working or living in the station. Usually we cook together, having around 9 people at the table. Often we dine outside. So I am trying really hard to change my habits, like worring over food spoiling :P :D Last week I bought meat after a looong time of buying slices of bacon or one chicken fillet, please! and when I say, that I bought meat I mean that I bought pork for 9 :D People usually speak French and I can understand 1 word per 20 minutes, rarely more - like then they are talking about codinette' :) Sometimes, mostly when they are joking around I get really sad, because I so much want to understand. My French is stubbornly residing in written language and when I try to speak.. Japanese blocks the door, smirking. Both the facts that I can understand written French prretty well and that my Japanese is giving me a hard time because of for some reason it has got activated - why now! why not while my Japanese studies???!!!! :D are amazing too. And of course the fact that we have a computer room we can access any time thus enabling me to write this blog, be in touch with my friends and maybe something else ;) And from my second or actually first :P blog you can find poems and stories written here :) What else :) The lake! This happened to me today: "Went to have a peaceful walk on the lake side. An idea - why won't I go from the forest track to the lake shore? - Wrong idea. Got swarmed by tiny frogs and a cherry on top, a baby snake too. The scariest 1,5 metres in my life. But the froggies were cute, even the snakey" I also try to swim in the lake - yes, in an artificial, but very alive lake with frogs of different sizes, fish, snakes and sometimes herons, cows drinking from there and swallows always flying over it - and not because I am not scared of all the wilderness in it. I t scares me! And of course the French organizing skills.. the funniest thing ever! :D Nervewracking, crazy and after overcoming the oeh-s and woes a big big laugh :D Again :D All for now, wrk finally? 16:54, time of notice to get prepeared, a record :D! 5 minutes. :D
